The Challenge of Being Kind

Hello everyone,

The world is slightly topsy turvy right now but we still have control of the way we think and feel. We can get caught up in fear, anger and hate or we can choose a better train of thought for our own greater good.

Kindness heals so many things for people. Believe it or not sometimes just a smile helps lift another person's spirit.

It is so important that we choose kindness over the alternative negative reactions to others.

It is easy to lash out at others when we are angry or upset over the conditions that we are all facing right now. Whether it is someone close to us or someone we are dealing with in our daily life, it doesn't solve a thing and brings such negativity let alone hurt, and this just adds to the stress of everyday life.

  • What if we looked at each human we encounter no matter who they are, as facing the same battles we are?
  • What if we said a kind word or did a kind deed for someone around us?
  • What if we worked at changing the atmosphere that is fear and hate just by acting out of kindness each day?
We all have a different story and are living a different version of life to anyone else's. Certainly we have to take into account that we have no idea what anyone else is going through and so if we just decide to have compassion for our fellow man and act with kindness in our speech and actions how much do you think we could change the tone of the world. I personally think we could change it dramatically. How about giving it a try? Don't be a follower, be a leader of change for the better by showing compassion and kindness to every person you come in contact with.

It doesn't take much. Open a door, let someone go ahead of you, help someone reach something in a store. These simple kind gestures make a world of difference and they are so easy to do. Let your goodness show in simple acts of kindness.

This is my challenge to all of you "How kind can you be?"

Many Blessings to All
Sue
