The Challenge of Being Kind

Hello everyone,

The world is slightly topsy turvy right now but we still have control of the way we think and feel. We can get caught up in fear, anger and hate or we can choose a better train of thought for our own greater good.

Kindness heals so many things for people. Believe it or not sometimes just a smile helps lift another person's spirit.

It is so important that we choose kindness over the alternative negative reactions to others.

It is easy to lash out at others when we are angry or upset over the conditions that we are all facing right now. Whether it is someone close to us or someone we are dealing with in our daily life, it doesn't solve a thing and brings such negativity let alone hurt, and this just adds to the stress of everyday life.

  • What if we looked at each human we encounter no matter who they are, as facing the same battles we are?
  • What if we said a kind word or did a kind deed for someone around us?
  • What if we worked at changing the atmosphere that is fear and hate just by acting out of kindness each day?
We all have a different story and are living a different version of life to anyone else's. Certainly we have to take into account that we have no idea what anyone else is going through and so if we just decide to have compassion for our fellow man and act with kindness in our speech and actions how much do you think we could change the tone of the world. I personally think we could change it dramatically. How about giving it a try? Don't be a follower, be a leader of change for the better by showing compassion and kindness to every person you come in contact with.

It doesn't take much. Open a door, let someone go ahead of you, help someone reach something in a store. These simple kind gestures make a world of difference and they are so easy to do. Let your goodness show in simple acts of kindness.

This is my challenge to all of you "How kind can you be?"

How's Your Train of Thought?

Funny thing about thoughts, they totally rule the way we feel in so many ways. If you are honest with yourself you will admit that you are either looking backwards to what was or wondering how the future is going to shape up. Very little of your time is spent on the now.

Of course this depends on your attitude about what you are focusing on and whether you are allowing the best or the worst thoughts to prevail. This in turn is the indicator of how you feel.

  • Negative thoughts bring feelings of worry, fear and unhappiness.
  • Positive thoughts bring a feeling of joy, hope, happiness.

If you are choosing to zip back to the past continually I would ask you how that makes your life better and what is back there that you don't have now. Remember the past is only snapshots of what was, it's like looking at a photo album but is not really relevant to you now.

  • What if you really focused on what is good in your life right at this time?
  • What if you chose to appreciate everything, even the smallest part of where you are that is happy and feels good?
  • What if you let go of wishing it was the same as it was and concentrate on solutions that would bring you the same feelings in the here and now?

If you are choosing to look to the future, how are you imagining life to be? Does worry overtake you, do you feel anxious and upset?

  • What if you thought about all the times when you needed solutions and remember the way it all worked out for you?
  • What if you just look ahead imagining how you want your life to be instead of seeing the worst case scenario?
  • What if you embraced hope as part of your vision?

By letting go of the negative pictures in your mind of what you think might happen, let more positive images be what you project.

Always remember that nothing ever stays the same, it's just the way life is. If we don't stay in the present and we aren't grateful for all that we have, all that is going right and all that makes us feel good, we are hurting everything about the beautiful spirit that we are.

If we continually rant about what is wrong, the negative things we feel are in our lives, not only do we hinder our well-being but we put a haze over the beauty of who we are, what we have, and where we are going.

Don't allow anything or anyone ruin the wonderful essence of you, the great things that are going right for you, and the path that always opens up for you no matter what.

Do this for your greater good, put a light around yourself and shine with all that is good and positive in all things.

Many Blessings to All

Overcoming Thoughts of Hate

It seems that we are in a crisis of thinking the absolute worst thoughts about things and then allowing ourselves to be consumed with anger and hate.

I would challenge you to take a look at what might be a person, place or thing in which you feel you hate and then feel what that feeling does to you when you bring it up.

There is not one thing more negative than hate. There is not one thing that will hurt you more than this feeling.

If you ask yourself why is it I hate whatever or whoever you do, try to find the reason that drives that hatred.

  • Is it something you were taught?
  • Is it someone you are following?
  • Is it something someone did to you?
  • Is it something that happened in a place?

If we are feeling  hatred because we were taught it is the way we must feel the only way to overcome this is to investigate the reason for the teaching.

  • Is it true?
  • Does the reason exist?
  • Is it outdated?

I have to say that when generational hatred is handed down it grows because no one ever questions is this true, is this how I want to feel, is this the way to live and thrive?

If we are following someone who themselves is filled we hate we are allowing them to control our very soul which in fact is so damaging to us we feel unhappy every minute of every day. I would ask you why following hatred is how you want to spend your time? Why would you give over you mind, and your beautiful imagination to a person who is so negative?

When we hate because we relive a circumstance that happened we are on a loop that does not end until we decide to let go of that circumstance and decide to live in a more positive frame of mind. Going back continually to a period of time that is over, one that is actually only a memory we do ourselves such a disservice because we can be using our thoughts for happier and more joyful things to think about.

When we feed hate instead of coming to terms with whatever happened it is so negative for our beautiful spirits. Don't condemn a place because an unhappy event happened there. In this lifetime we will all feel unhappy somewhere at sometime but it is how we keep that alive in our minds that makes all the difference.

  • What if we all today, right this minute decided to make the world a better place by letting go of the unnatural feeling of hate and embrace the natural feeling of joy.
  • What if we allowed the very dark feelings that hate brings to just disappear and then we allow the best thoughts we can think to bring light and love into our lives?
  • What if we loved ourselves enough to want who we are, where we are, and what we are doing to be the most positive it has ever been for our own greater good.

Take control of who you are. Allow your beautiful to be free, to feel happy and peaceful. Allow all the best thoughts to help you to feel uplifted and strong.

Many Blessings to All
