Hate is Just Thoughts turned into Feelings

 It seems that we are in a crisis of thinking the absolute worst thoughts about things and then allowing ourselves to be consumed with anger and hate.

I would challenge you to take a look at what might be a person, place or thing in which you feel you hate and then feel what that feeling does to you when you bring it up.

There is not one thing more negative than hate. There is not one thing that will hurt you more than this feeling.

If you ask yourself why is it I hate whatever or whoever you do, try to find the reason that drives that hatred.

  • Is it something you were taught?
  • Is it someone you are following?
  • Is it something someone did to you?
  • Is it something that happened in a place?

If we are feeling  hatred because we were taught it is the way we must feel the only way to overcome this is to investigate the reason for the teaching.

  • Is it true?
  • Does the reason exist?
  • Is it outdated?

I have to say that when generational hatred is handed down it grows because no one ever questions is this true, is this how I want to feel, is this the way to live and thrive?

If we are following someone who themselves is filled we hate we are allowing them to control our very soul which in fact is so damaging to us we feel unhappy every minute of every day. I would ask you why following hatred is how you want to spend your time? Why would you give over you mind, and your beautiful imagination to a person who is so negative?

When we hate because we relive a circumstance that happened we are on a loop that does not end until we decide to let go of that circumstance and decide to live in a more positive frame of mind. Going back continually to a period of time that is over, one that is actually only a memory we do ourselves such a disservice because we can be using our thoughts for happier and more joyful things to think about.

When we feed hate instead of coming to terms with whatever happened it is so negative for our beautiful spirits. Don't condemn a place because an unhappy event happened there. In this lifetime we will all feel unhappy somewhere at sometime but it is how we keep that alive in our minds that makes all the difference.

  • What if we all today, right this minute decided to make the world a better place by letting go of the unnatural feeling of hate and embrace the natural feeling of joy. 
  • What if we allowed the very dark feelings that hate brings to just disappear and then we allow the best thoughts we can think to bring light and love into our lives?
  • What if we loved ourselves enough to want who we are, where we are, and what we are doing to be the most positive it has ever been for our own greater good.

Take control of who you are. Allow your beautiful to be free, to feel happy and peaceful. Allow all the best thoughts to help you to feel uplifted and strong.

Tune Out the Past and Tune in Joy

 

Are you allowing the past to interfere with who you are today and what you want to achieve for yourself?

Are you concentrating on things that no longer exist to impact your daily life?

Life can be so much easier for everyone if in fact we all just let go of what was, of what we try and wish back into existence, or what we wish we could change about what we did wrong.

These are all ghosts of the past that will haunt us if we keep allowing them to.

We certainly do not feel good about not being, doing or having what we think about in the past. We don’t move forward because we are stuck in a place that simply doesn't exist anymore, but we keep breathing life into it because we use our thoughts to bring it up and feel either the pain or the remorse in that time of our life.

If we are concentrating on the lack of or the guilt of then we are doing our beautiful spirit such a disservice.

  • What if we used our thoughts to imagine how we would like life now instead of how life was?
  • What if we decided to live in the moment and concentrate on what feels good in our life right now?
  •  What if we decided that life was just great right here and now and we learned to appreciate our lives at this moment in time?

It simply comes down to a choice of what do I want to dwell on using my thoughts. Is it a time that is no longer reality or is it a time of here and now with all that I have to be happy about.

Don’t allow negative thoughts of the past drag you to a place you don’t want to be. You are in charge of what you think, so if a negative thought about what was pops in, flip it to a thought that only insures your well-being and your greater good.

Let your thought process be about you and what helps you to feel joy, peace and happiness. There are many things to focus on if you allow that train of thought to be where you mind goes.

 Thoughts and Well-being

This is about how our thoughts directly affect our emotional well-being. By cultivating a positive mindset, we can significantly improve our overall health and increase our happiness.

Daily Practices for Positive Thinking

  • Begin each day by reflecting on qualities and attributes you genuinely appreciate about yourself.
  • Seek out and acknowledge all the things that are going well in your life.
  • Focus on the good you perceive in yourself, others, and the environment around you.

Since our thoughts guide us every day, it is important to take control and steer them in a direction that benefits us. Although changing negative thoughts might seem challenging, it is actually within our power. Whenever a negative thought arises, we can consciously shift it to something that feels uplifting.

Sources of Positive Thoughts

We all hold joyful and comforting thoughts about certain aspects of our lives, such as:

  • Children
  • Pets
  • Partner
  • Home
  • Vacation
  • Hobbies

While there are many more sources of positivity, these examples offer a starting point for focusing our thoughts.

Strategies for Managing Negative Thoughts

If you find yourself caught in a negative thought pattern, recall a favorite memory or thought related to one of the areas listed above. Choose something that brings you feelings of love, laughter, or joy. We possess countless positive thoughts, but often overlook them. Use these memories to uplift your mood whenever needed.

Don’t allow all the beautiful and happy memories and experiences that you have stored away in your mind to go to waste. They are there to help you keep a positive outlook, and they are also proof that life is and can be a treasure.

 Empowering Your Own Happiness

It is important not to let anyone, regardless of their identity or influence, take control of your happiness. The responsibility for how you feel about yourself and your life rests solely with you. Only you can truly focus on and nurture your well-being in the most meaningful way.

Like Yourself First

 February is a month that is all about love. We all want love of course, it is in most relationships we have. It is everywhere, movies, books, in just everyway we can learn about it. It is almost mandatory if we allow it to be. 

What if we lighten up and just like ourselves first.

Think about the person you spend the most time with. It's not your partner, your best friend, or your parents. It's you. If you lived with a roommate you didn't particularly like, you'd move out. But when that roommate is your own mind, the only way forward is to change the relationship from the inside out.

Liking yourself isn't about narcissism: it's about internal harmony and mental health. We often think it is selfish to care more about ourselves than others but the truth is if we don't feel good about who we are then we can't feel good about anyone or anything else.

Just think how freeing it is to focus on all the good things about who you are and keep the spotlight on all the things you like about yourself.

Liking is Different (and Easier) than "Loving"

  • Self-Love often feels like a huge abstract destination.
  • Self-Likability is about finding small things you enjoy about your personality, your hobbies, or your humor.

One of the major parts of liking yourself is to stop negative self-talk. It creates such chaos in your head. When we continually find fault with ourselves we simply cannot move forward in a positive way. We are stuck feeling bad about who we are and the fact that we have so many more good, positive qualities gets lost in the unhappy way we are seeing who we are.

The fact is we literally treat ourselves worse than we'd ever treat a friend. Just think about that for a moment, the fact is it is so important for you to stop and really care for the beautiful spirit that is who you are.

Here are a couple of things to do to help yourself feel positive:

  • Write down three things you actually like about yourself today.
  • Have boundaries for yourself when it concerns other people. Say "no" without regret when the circumstance doesn't feel right to you. It is okay not to follow along with anyone or anything that doesn't feel the way it should for your greater good.

Stop dwelling on what you feel you have done wrong, choices that may not be the best, or situations you may have chosen that didn't end up the way you thought they would. Let go of all the guilt it does not deserve the space in your head.

One thing for sure, you are the only person you are guaranteed to be with forever. Remember you don't have to be perfect to be someone you'd want to hang out with.

Change is Good for the Soul

 Most people find that change is hard but in fact it is only as hard as you make it. You get to choose what you want to change and in making that choice you move forward and help to make your life more the way you want it.

There are always things we can change about ourselves but what changes can you make that will improve who you are, where you are and what you are doing?

  • What if you changed your focus to something positive and uplifting?
  • What if you changed the way you look at a particular situation?
  • What if you changed where you are?
  • What if you changed to a more positive outlook?

When we are focused on the negative we not only feel bad but we can't move forward to anything that would help us to be happy because we aren't feeling happy but negative. This negative energy can bring you down to a level that you sometimes can't shake because one negative thought brings another and another and pretty soon you are so weighed down and unhappy it really impedes your ability to get on with life.

I challenge you to sit down and write what positive changes you can make that will help you to feel better and to move forward. 

  • Make suggestions as if it is happening already. 
  • Be sure you are centered on positive changes and be aware of how those changes would make you feel.
  • Let the positive energy  you feel while writing stay with you as an incentive to stay in this mindset.

As you are writing make a list of everything you have to be grateful for right now. What has happened for you that you appreciate. What is going right for you. Gratitude is the best way to really see what is positive in your life.

Change is truly good for the soul. When there is movement in your life, when it starts to flow, change brings a different perspective always, a fresh way to see things, a new horizon for sure.

Where is the Positive?

 

I have no explanation as to why it is human nature to focus on the negative. It is amazing to me that most people can tell you what is going wrong for them more often than what is going right. It's weird isn't it that what feels bad comes up first instead of what feels good.

This of course is a habit that many have acquired over a lifetime. It could be a learned behavior from parents or just a loop that we keep repeating over and over. 

  • What if we chose to talk about what is going right in our lives?
  • What if we made sure our conversations were upbeat and positive?
  • What if we chose to focus on feelings that bring us joy?

I would challenge you to sit down and write out what has gone right for you in the last year. If you are going to look back at all look at what turned out well for you. Start writing and look at things that turned out even better than you thought they were going to. 

  • Look for positive solutions that came to you. 
  • Look for positive relationships you made. 
  • Look for anything that brought a positive reaction for you.

By making note of these things you will find that so many positive things come to mind you wonder why you weren't noticing them when they were happening. By recognizing these positives we can be so grateful for them because they did make our life better even if we didn't see it at the time. Gratitude for all of the good that happened in our lives enhances our positive outlook.

Positive thoughts are the basis of a positive life. When we see things more positively we not only feel better but we open the door for more and more positives to come in our lives.

Make this a habit and your whole life will change for the better.

Stop Looking Back

 Happy New Year!

The best way to start a New Year is by not looking back at anytime in your life that brings you to a negative thought process, especially the last year.

You have so much power over your life just by letting go of what is behind you and to focus on what it is you want for yourself in 2026.

When we keep pivoting back to parts of our lives that bring us unhappiness or sadness we do such an injustice to our beautiful spirit. 

  • What if we let go of childhood trauma?
  • What if we let go of unhappy relationships?
  • What if we let go of what we might think of as failure?

These experiences have had life altering affects at one point on our journey but when we keep reliving them we are doing ourselves a great disservice. We are giving them permission to live in our hearts and minds and to diminish all that is positive and happy for ourselves. By keeping them alive in our thoughts and feelings we give them energy to keep invading our space of peace and joy.

Free yourself starting today using your thoughts as the foundation of a better and more satisfying way to view your life for the year ahead.

You can do this just by starting the habit of not looking back and not revisiting anything in your past that brings you unhappiness. Let your thoughts be on today and a new way to think about what you want and how you want it. Make it the most positive you can using your powerful imagination and your feelings for your greater good.

Paint the picture in your thoughts of the life you would want to live in the year ahead.

You Are an Artist with your Thoughts

 Your imagination is a powerful tool. Know that if you weren't suppose to use it you wouldn't have one.

Think of yourself as a master artist. You can be thinking about your life in such a beautiful way that the picture you have in your mind about your life in the positive is a major work of art if you allow it to be. 

Using your thoughts to see in your mind's eye the way you would like it to be is like having a master plan. You can see what you want and you can feel the happiness that the picture brings you so how much you put into keeping this work of art alive and thriving is up to you.

You can add people, places and things anytime you want to. You can make the colors and accents beautiful and bright. Just have a bright picture helps you to feel good.

  • What if you pictured daily something you would like to have happen?
  • What if you focused and then pictured only good things you would feel happy about?
  • What if you took those pictures and kept them going constantly replacing them with any negative pictures that may pop in your mind?

Life can be a beautiful thing when you are centered on the positive things that have happened and are happening for you. It is not an easy habit to have but it is so worth the time and effort to see and feel the good things, the things that bring you joy, the things that make you feel happy and to keep those things as constant pictures in your mind.

I challenge you to make the effort to have pictures in your mind that are vibrant and alive with the way you want your journey to be. You can do this just by starting your day with only the best and brightest pictures of what you want to come into your life.

You will be surprised at what shows up!

Free Yourself Using Your Thoughts

 

We are so in charge of the direction our thought process take. Just ponder that for a moment and you will realize that one thought follows the other so where are your thoughts taking you and how are they making you feel.

It is a difficult time I know when everything is kind of topsy turvy in the world right now but I would like to have you truly think about what your thoughts are and how they are affecting your well-being and the direction you are going.

We have the choice to zero in on chaos or peace, on love or hate, on joy or sadness. In our lifetime we  have experienced so many happy and lovely times but for some reason we choose to look back at the bad and unhappy ones. 

You really do know how to feel good all of the time just by thinking about good and happy times and feeling what it was like to enjoy life at that moment. Close your eyes, take a deep breath and think about a very happy time you have experienced. That is the feeling that you want for yourself all the time I am sure and it can be very easy to attain if you just keep your thoughts on what is going right in your life and this can be something small but satisfying that brings a feeling of joy.

Keep your thoughts in the best place possible and do not allow yourself to go down a rabbit hole of unhappiness and negativity. Don't tune into anything that would bring your thoughts to a place you don't want to be.

  • What if you tuned out anything that would lead you to be negative?
  • What if you focused on the most positive thing in your life at this time?
  • What if you made a list of all the accomplishments that you have experienced?
  •  What if you felt complete peace inside your heart and mind?
Remember thoughts are things so using them to feel good is a start of a very happy and satisfying life. You are in complete control of where your thoughts go so do yourself the greatest favor ever and make a habit of changing every negative thought to a positive one. It does take practice but it is so worth it in the long run.

Be your best by thinking the best thoughts that way you can feel the best. Don't allow anything or anyone to change how you feel about yourself and your life in the most positive and uplifting way.

Using Your Thoughts As An Asset

 Asset: a useful or valuable thing, person, or quality.

It seems that life has become an alternate Universe of sorts with the times we are experiencing. It is so important for our well-being that we use our thoughts for our greater good and so that we can navigate these times and come out whole and happy.

It is so imperative that we take our own well-being seriously and using our thoughts in the best possible way is the foundation for this feeling of health and happiness to take hold.

Remember that your thoughts of the past are just snapshots of what was. They only existed for a short time and then you stored them in your vast memory. 

The way to keep the past making your present joyful and happy you must tap into all the memories that help you to feel the best you can feel. There are so many of those if you just allow them to surface. Take the time to remember everything that has worked out for you, everything that made you feel exuberant, everything that has that warm and fuzzy feel about it. You have so many if you would just let them surface and then embrace them.

I know that we are all challenged right now to find the good in things happening so I would encourage you not to allow the outside world to ruin your everyday feeling of joy. Stop bringing into your thoughts anything that would ruin a good feeling you might have. 

By letting anyone else cause you negative thoughts you are giving up your own power. Your thoughts are what drive you forward so don't give your power away but insist on using your thoughts for your own greater good.

What if:

  • You concentrated on everything that is right in your life today even if it is something small.
  • You concentrated on a solution instead of a problem.
  • You showed kindness to just one person.
  • You look for something positive to focus on. 
  • You only saw yourself in the most positive light.
When you use your thoughts in this way it changes your outlook and your mindset. It steers you in a direction of not only feeling good but of seeing everything in a more positive light.

Never forget it is you who is the asset to the world, it is you who brings only what you can bring as you are unique and one of a kind.

Trust that when you bring more and more positive thoughts and feelings you are changing the way things happen. Be one of the many lights in our world who believe in being the best asset you can be.

A Kind Thought

 How many times have we seen a person or a situation that the first thought about them or it was unkind?

It is a habit for most of us to be critical first of everything. We have all had to practice long and hard to become so cynical and hard. It makes for the energy around us and around everyone so unhappy.

  • What if we all decided to see one good thing about a person around us and let the criticism go?
  • What if we looked at situations with a more positive spin on them?
  • What if we broke the habit of being so cynical and unkind we heal our bruised hearts?

No one is ever happy that is critical constantly of life and everyone living in it. No person ever moves forward in a positive frame of mind by being cynical.

I challenge you all to break any habit that contains thoughts of being unkind and critical. It will make a difference in your life you won't believe.

Thoughts about Yourself

 There are always two ways to think about ourselves:

We can find fault with everything about ourselves and our life as it is.  

We can focus on the positive things about who we are and what we have accomplished.

I don't know why it is we choose to be so critical of who we are and where we are but for some reason it is human nature to have this habit. It is really up to us to change the way we think about ourselves and our lives.

  • What if we chose to make a list of everything we have accomplished?
  • What if we focused on our abilities?
  • What if we focused on our strong points?

Sometimes it is better if we literally write down all the things that are great about ourselves. Everyone has so many good qualities if we just pay attention to them.

We must let go of the mistakes we feel we have made, the bad choices, the wrong path we may have taken. These are not where are focus should be because we are still going forward and still living so there is something positive about our lives.

Give yourself the credit you deserve and if you need to sit down every day and write down what you have accomplished, what positive things you had happen, and what you as a person excelled at. I am not talking just major things, I am talking about getting chores done, making conversation, being a friend, there are so many things when you start a list that will surprise you about yourself.

Take the time to focus on every positive thing about yourself and your life so that this becomes a great habit to continue.

One Thought After Another

 Our thoughts follow a pattern if you will and when you think about it you will realize this is true.

For instance when you are upset with someone and you are focused on what they did then one thought after another comes forward about all the things they have done to upset you. Those thoughts can flood your mind and before you know it you are angrier than you were in the beginning because you have fueled your anger with so many thoughts of unhappiness.

The same holds true for happy thoughts. When you are focused on a happy time or experience you then have one thought after another of a time or times when you have had the same things happy happen for you.

When we choose our thoughts carefully then we choose our state of mind and how we feel about everything.

  • What if when we were angry we stopped and told ourselves this is not how I want to think and feel?
  • What if we chose to focus on times in our lives that we were not only happy but content and at ease?
  • What if we made the choice to actually change an unhappy thought for a happy one?

You may think you can't do this but believe me you can. You have so many joyful thoughts about your life and your journey that if you choose to zero in on any one of them you can change your thoughts and then by doing that change how you feel for the better.

It is all for your greater good and for the direction you want to take in your life. Make the choice to use your thoughts wisely.

An Outdated Thought

 Outdated: out of date; obsolete.

It is funny how we as humans seem to go backwards in our thinking. By that I mean for some reason we are always using our thoughts to look backwards at a time that was either happy or sad or hurtful or comfortable.

We have all experienced these times in our lives and we certainly know how they feel but when we keep going back in time to keep either feeling good or bad depending on the thoughts we are now allowing ourselves to move forward in a way that brings us a better way to live in the now.

One thing that we do when we look back at a snapshot in our memory is we usually enhance the situation whether it was good or bad. It keeps growing in ways that were probably not true but enhancing for some reason is the outcome of looking backwards. We add details that were not there, words that were not spoken, and actions that were not taken in size and significance. 

  • What if we decided that we were going to give up looking to the past?
  • What if we kept the feelings of joy that we know are real from past experience and use them for today?
  • What if we let go of any hurt or anger so that happiness can fill that space in our heart?

When we hang on to what was we are not allowing what is happening today to have the impact it should for us. By letting go of anything negative from the past we can see the positive in our today.

Give yourself a break and live in the moment with all the positive things that are going on for you today to be your focus.

Ordinary Thoughts

 Ordinary: with no special or distinctive features; normal.

I don't think that any of us have ordinary thoughts. We are too creative and imaginative to have such bland thoughts. 

In fact our thoughts are really extraordinary. 

Extraordinary: very unusual or remarkable.

The reason I say this is because with our imagination we see our lives with distinctive features and we do have special thoughts about everything.

When we actually focus our thoughts on the things we would like to have happen for us that makes them so powerful. If we stay in a positive frame of mind and see just how life would be and feel the good feelings those thoughts bring to us this makes what we think extraordinary.

  • What if you imagined your life the way you would like it to be and just held those thoughts and feelings in your imagination?
  • What if you made your focus on yourself with thoughts of wonderful experiences ahead?
  • What if you stopped seeing life in the negative and zeroed in on all that positive things possible for you?

It is up to you how you use your thoughts but I would recommend using them to your advantage by seeing and feeling great things for yourself.

Your Power

 Power: the ability to do something or act in a particular way, especially as a faculty or quality.

Most of us don't feel very powerful. We look at ourselves and our lives and we think there are so many other people who have more power than we do. That may be true in their own lives but in our own personal space we have all the power and we fail to use it for our greater good because we are always looking somewhere else for it.

Your power comes from within. It is linked to your thoughts and feelings about every single thing in your life. 

If you are using your thoughts to bring up the positive feelings you want to feel, good for you because that is the secret to it all.

When we think the most positive thoughts about ourselves this gives us the power to feel good about who we are. If we find all the positive things about our appearance, our personality, our abilities, we then have power to envision the best things in our lives.

If you are in a negative train of thought you can feel it. It is like a dim lightbulb that has the ability to shine brightly but needs to be turned up to do so. Negative thinking never ever brings good things to us because there is no power there. When you feel the negativity taking over tell yourself: "These negative thoughts are not for me, I want better thoughts and feelings for my greater good!"

The more positive you think and feel the more power you give yourself to move forward in a direction that not only suits you but brings you the joy in life you deserve.

Consideration

 Consideration: careful thought, typically over a period of time.

I think the key words here are careful thought.

How many of us take the time to think about what we are going to say before we say it? I bet if each of us would consider our words first the world might just be a better place.

  • What if we considered other people's feelings?
  • What if we took the time to think about what it might mean to someone else if we were more considerate?
  • What if we were kinder and more compassionate about people and their circumstances or lifestyle?

Life could be so much easier and much more joyful if people thought before they spoke on so many levels.

We as humans would feel better too. A person cannot feel good about themselves or their lives when they are belittling or criticizing everyone and everything. There is just no way that it can feel good to be constantly using negative words and thoughts towards others.

I would challenge everyone to make your words count for something kind, considerate, and pleasant.

Words Matter

 Word: a command, password, or signal.

Words matter. They are thoughts spoken out loud. We can use them lovingly or harshly it is our choice.

What if we made the effort to you them for kindness?

What if we made the effort to not use them in a hurtful way?

What if we used our words in gratitude and happiness?

What if we used them to point out the good in others?

These are ways to use your words in a meaningful way and because of those small changes life just became better for it.

Kindness

 Kindness: the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.

It seems lately that people are complaining about everyone being rude, selfish, and inconsiderate. 

Funny that, as each of us has the ability to be friendly, kind and considerate yet we expect everyone else to be while we don't put those actions to use in our own lives.

  • What a difference it would make on our planet if we just used kind words and actions towards each other.
  • What a difference it would make within ourselves if we felt the kindness and compassion towards our fellow man. 
  • What a difference it would make if we were friendly towards each other and respected each other without question.

I would challenge you all to find kind words, a smile, and consideration towards others. It will make such a huge difference in our world and within ourselves.

One Positive Thought After Another

 Positive thoughts are sometimes hard to come by but you always have them stored in your mind somewhere the secret is to use them to your advantage.

There have been many times in your life when positive things have happened for you so those positive experiences are a part of your mind set you just have to bring them up and remember how great it was to think and feel positive.

  • What if you decided to focus on the good things that have happened to you in your life?
  • What if you decided to appreciate life with a very positive mind set?
  • What if you remembered all the things you have accomplished both big and small in this life?
